About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring for a Claims Representative Internship for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work with our team to help individuals and businesses recover after a loss occurs.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and assemble facts to determine policy coverage.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and analyze legal liability to pay or deny claims.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to build your knowledge.
- Work toward the resolution of claims, which may include attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
- Ensure claims payments are accurate and issued on time.
- Service the needs of agents and policyholders through phone, mail, and on-site investigations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year.
- A major in Business Administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and interpret data while handling multiple assignments.
- Skill in resolving complex issues and attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- This internship is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin or Appleton, Wisconsin.
- The role is on-site and full-time for the summer 2027 term.
