About the role#
The Nursing Clinical Internship at Avera Heart Hospital is a 10-week, full-time, paid program occurring during the summer of 2027. This position offers students a chance to gain real-world experience in a heart and vascular care setting.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a designated Registered Nurse preceptor to expand your clinical skills.
- Learn directly from experienced health care workers.
- Deliver patient care within the hospital environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Associate or Bachelor RN program.
- Completion of at least one academic clinical experience.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Status as a student within 1 or 2 semesters of graduation by the start of the internship.
Location & details#
- Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
