About the role#
AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Student Food Service Worker to support dining operations at Kenyon College. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site in Gambier, Ohio.
What you'll do#
- Prepare hot and cold food items.
- Store food properly by following temperature and spoilage guidelines.
- Set up service stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, and necessary utensils.
- Serve guests in dining and retail areas while following service procedures.
- Clean and sanitize your workstation and equipment.
- Manage multiple tasks at once while keeping up with the demands of the kitchen.
What you'll need#
- A strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and guests.
- Professional conduct when interacting with vendors and client representatives.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration program is requested.
