About the role#
Simmons Foods offers a summer internship for students to work on real-world projects. You will build cross-functional relationships and gain experience in food and beverage operations. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
What you'll do#
- Solve a real-world problem through a dedicated project and present your findings to senior leadership.
- Handle day-to-day tasks to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste.
- Ensure all work meets USDA and FDA quality guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to company policy and communication efforts.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for several hours at a time.
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various temperatures and wear required personal protective equipment.
