About the role#
This is a temporary, paid internship based at the Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, North Dakota. You will work on-site during the summer of 2027, from approximately May 17 through August 20. This role focuses on the maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment within the plant.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Help with basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Support the installation, repair, and maintenance of DCS, PLCs, monitoring equipment, VFDs, instrumentation, and electrical systems like conduit and lighting.
- Participate in the annual Family Night event, including setup and cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a two-year Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology program with at least two semesters completed, or you must be a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A valid driver license.
- You must submit a transcript at the time of your application.
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is preferred.
- Additional certifications or coursework are a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 55 pounds, climbing, and working at heights up to 150 feet in various environmental conditions.
