About the role#
This internship at the Laramie River Station in Wheatland, Wyoming, provides hands-on experience in the utility sector. You will work with the engineering team during the summer of 2027, from approximately May 17 to August 20. The role is full-time and on-site.
What you'll do#
- Create and edit engineering documents.
- Conduct equipment walk downs and collect data.
- Help organize and update the drawing system.
- Support reliability engineering initiatives.
- Assist engineers with technical research and plant documentation.
- Provide technical assistance to plant hourly employees.
- Collect and evaluate plant data.
- Work on small projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an EAC/ABET accredited four-year Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering program.
- Completion of your sophomore year or graduation within the last 12 months.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- A valid driver license.
- You must attach your transcript to your application for review.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous internship experience or relevant coursework is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights up to 250 feet with safety equipment.
