    About the role#

    This internship at the Laramie River Station in Wheatland, Wyoming, provides hands-on experience in the utility sector. You will work with the engineering team during the summer of 2027, from approximately May 17 to August 20. The role is full-time and on-site.

    What you'll do#

    • Create and edit engineering documents.
    • Conduct equipment walk downs and collect data.
    • Help organize and update the drawing system.
    • Support reliability engineering initiatives.
    • Assist engineers with technical research and plant documentation.
    • Provide technical assistance to plant hourly employees.
    • Collect and evaluate plant data.
    • Work on small projects as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • Enrollment as a full-time student in an EAC/ABET accredited four-year Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering program.
    • Completion of your sophomore year or graduation within the last 12 months.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.5.
    • A valid driver license.
    • You must attach your transcript to your application for review.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Previous internship experience or relevant coursework is preferred.
    • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights up to 250 feet with safety equipment.

    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Pay: $26.50 per hour.
