About the role#
This internship provides a hands-on perspective on our firm practices and client service. You will work under the supervision of experienced Core Tax Services professionals to prepare returns and extensions. This position is for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions using firm software.
- Organize files and complete tasks to minimize rework for reviewers.
- Assist with responses to Internal Revenue Service notices.
- Perform quarterly estimates and help with year-end filing projections.
- Use online research tools to monitor tax law and client developments.
- Communicate viewpoints to the client service team regarding how tax law changes may impact clients.
- Assist with components of income tax provisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- A masters degree in Accounting or a relevant field is preferred.
