About the role#
This summer internship provides hands-on experience within our Core Tax Services team. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to prepare tax returns and extensions. This role is designed to help you build foundational skills and professional relationships while gaining insight into our firm's practices.
What you'll do#
- Ensure clients comply with all applicable authorities while working to minimize their tax and reporting burdens.
- Complete tasks and organize files to minimize the need for rework by reviewers.
- Use tax software applications to complete simple tax returns.
- Assist in developing and implementing methods to maximize client benefits.
- Operate online research tools to gather pertinent tax information.
- Perform quarterly estimates, prepare extensions, and assist with responses to tax notices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preference is given to candidates pursuing a Masters degree in Accounting and those with leadership experience.
