About the role#
As a Tax Intern in Core Tax Services, you will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to support our client base. This role provides hands-on experience with tax practices and helps you build professional relationships early in your career.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns and extensions.
- Use tax software to complete simple returns for review.
- Assist with quarterly estimates and year-end filing projections.
- Monitor tax law and client developments to keep the team informed.
- Research tax information using online tools.
- Help ensure client compliance with authorities while managing tax burdens.
- Assist with responses to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Support components of income tax provisions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting or a relevant field.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A masters degree in Accounting or a relevant field is preferred.
