About the role#
The Tax Intern Leadership Program at BDO USA offers a rotational experience across Core Tax Services, Private Client Services, and Specialty Tax Services. This 20-week program provides interns with exposure to various tax disciplines and leadership opportunities. This is a paid, full-time internship available during the winter and summer of 2028.
What you'll do#
- Assist with developing and implementing methods to decrease client taxes.
- Complete tax returns using specialized software for review by senior team members.
- Organize files and tasks to minimize the need for rework.
- Help prepare responses to notices from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Develop a technical understanding of tax issues and practical application.
- Assist in preparing tax presentations for client meetings.
- Monitor tax law developments and communicate findings to the service team.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
- Candidates actively pursuing credits to become a CPA are preferred.
