About the role#
The Tax Intern in Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists to help multi-national companies price transactions between entities within their corporate group. You will examine economic conditions and industry trends while consulting with clients to substantiate prices charged between related parties. This role helps companies comply with foreign and domestic tax regulations.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, risk distribution, and value drivers.
- Analyze industry and financial data to benchmark or document intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, such as evaluating market penetration or calculating the value of intangible property.
- Prepare project reports that include research, quantitative analysis, and final results to document compliance.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos describing the analytical process.
- Participate in presentations to pitch service capabilities to potential clients and convey analysis results.
- Take interview notes, prepare summaries, and proofread reports for delivery to clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Exceptional research and writing skills.
- Ability to perform detailed reading, proofing, and editing of technical material.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Capability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing and a desire to learn more about the industry.
