About the role#
Beam Therapeutics is seeking an IT Business Systems and AI Co-op to join our General and Administrative Information Technology team. This role runs from January through June 2027. You will work at the intersection of business technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital transformation. You will support enterprise applications for Operations, Legal, Finance, and HR while collaborating with business stakeholders and IT leaders to improve reporting and optimize processes.
What you'll do#
- Develop reports, dashboards, and insights while translating data into actionable information from G&A systems.
- Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of AI agents and AI-assisted workflows to automate repetitive administrative and reporting tasks.
- Review and organize application documentation, training materials, and support procedures.
- Identify gaps in system knowledge and find opportunities to improve self-service support.
- Create user-friendly communications for application enhancements and process changes.
- Develop AI-assisted training content and learning resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA or MA degree program at a college or university. You must maintain student status throughout the co-op.
- Academic interest in technology, business operations, digital transformation, or artificial intelligence.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex business challenges, and incorporate feedback in an iterative environment.
- Interest in business operations, process improvement, and operational effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity and an organized approach to learning and contributing new ideas.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly pay range of $23 to $34 USD, depending on experience, skills, and education.
