About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship with the Beck's Research Department. You will gain hands-on experience in the agriculture industry through a summer project and professional development opportunities. The role runs from May through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare seed for the upcoming planting season.
- Travel to outlying locations to help staff plant test plots.
- Collect early and mid-season agronomic notes.
- Assist with corn breeding, including pollination in the nursery.
- Support laboratory work involving molecular markers or transformation.
- Participate in performance testing and product development.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a current college student.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Previous agriculture experience is preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel overnight.

- Position is based in Olivia, Minnesota.
- This is an on-site, safety-sensitive role.
- Furnished housing or a stipend is provided.
- Offers are contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
