About the role#
Bennett Thrasher is seeking interns for a Spring 2027 tax position in Atlanta. This role gives you responsibilities and experience similar to a first-year staff member. You will work across several areas of tax to gain a broad understanding of the field.
What you'll do#
- Prepare tax returns accurately and use feedback to improve your work.
- Create income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients.
- Research, analyze, and summarize financial information.
- Check accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Maintain client files according to firm standards.
- Work with firm leadership to provide quality client service.
- Participate in the firm's mentoring program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Accounting program.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.

- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The term is Winter 2027.
- This role is on-site.
