About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Toronto, contributing to Audit AI and Analytics. You will apply the BMO Risk Management Framework while executing your responsibilities to ensure all data solutions align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Use advanced analytical algorithms to mine and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets.
- Design and build new processes for data modeling.
- Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms using big data technology.
- Collaborate with analytics professionals to scale and refine analysis into mature solutions.
- Use data mining to assess the feasibility of AI and machine learning solutions.
- Conduct large-scale analysis to uncover patterns and trends.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to business leaders to maintain competitiveness.
- Investigate new technologies and tools for innovative data solutions.
- Work with product teams to support decision making and business planning.
- Display data and advance strategies to better understand consumer trends.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- General knowledge of SQL and Python.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and Large Language Models.
- Experience with tools like Copilot, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
