About the role#
This is a full-time, 4-month internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join our team in Toronto to gain practical experience in Information Security. We look for motivated students who are eager to learn and ready to contribute to our daily operations. You will participate in our campus program, which includes access to corporate learning platforms, mentorship opportunities, and professional networking.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, support, and maintain Information Security systems and tools.
- Handle day-to-day service requests, transactions, and security queries.
- Create activity reports and analyze security data to determine next steps.
- Coordinate incident management activities, including engaging third-party providers.
- Deploy changes to the production environment and ensure consistent, high-quality work.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect bank assets and adhere to policies.
- Recommend process improvements to streamline security operations.
- Share technical expertise to support team development and mentoring.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with a plan to return to studies.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of information security concepts, operations, processes, and controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for partnering and negotiation.
- Experience in information security, systems, or computer operations is an asset.
- Preference for candidates pursuing or holding security certifications from institutions like (ISC)2, ISACA, or SANS.
