About the role#
As a Process Analyst intern at BMO, you will support the Investment and Fraud Operations functions. You will gain hands-on experience by delivering on product processes, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and contributing to the bank's operational integrity. This role is designed to integrate you into the team, allowing you to develop professional skills while contributing to real business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Execute routine tasks including service requests, transactions, and queries while meeting established Service Level Agreements.
- Gather and format data to create regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
- Analyze information to provide insights, identify issues, and determine next steps or escalations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business goals and maintain effective relationships.
- Check and reconcile documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support change management activities and contribute to the development or improvement of processes and systems.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect bank assets and ensure decisions align with regulatory requirements.
- Provide knowledgeable responses to stakeholder inquiries and support the development of training tools.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program with the intent to return to studies following the internship.
- Strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with PC tools including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding of business processes, controls, and risk or regulatory requirements.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Operations Management.
