About the role#
As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will help design, develop, and maintain quality standards for Boeing products and manufacturing processes. You will work across engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure our aerospace products are safe, reliable, and defect-free. This role involves hands-on work in quality risk assessment, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support product quality assurance throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle.
- Implement quality principles, processes, and metrics to reduce defects and drive customer satisfaction.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and statistical process control.
- Partner with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure suppliers meet our quality requirements.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing sampling plans and First Article Inspections to verify supplier product conformance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2027.
- Availability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Ability to meet Export Control compliance as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Enrollment in a degree program such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, as well as Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- A passion for the aerospace industry and an eagerness to contribute to our mission.
