About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Ridgewood, New Jersey office for the Summer 2027 term. This is an on-site, full-time position where you will gain hands-on experience in land development and site design. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
What you'll do#
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater management, utility system, and soil erosion plans.
- Coordinate with local jurisdictions and research zoning ordinances.
- Collaborate with the team to drive project progress.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the construction process.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for design and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
