About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 season. You will join our municipal team in the Twin Cities metro area to gain practical experience in civil engineering. You will spend most of your time working on construction phase activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with civil engineering projects, including planning and design tasks.
- Prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform construction observation, staking, and administration duties.
- Complete design calculations and review shop drawings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering or closely related degree program at an accredited institution.
- Sophomore status or higher is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, with 3.2 or above desired.
- Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD drafting.
- A valid driver's license and your own transportation or access to public transit.
- Physical ability to work in extended outdoor conditions and navigate rugged terrain.
