About the role#
The IT Technician Intern supports the desktop environment and provides specialized IT services at our Hendersonville facility. You will assist with high-level meeting support, customer consulting, and the setup of processes around Service Management. This role involves maintaining client security settings, including admin rights and software installations, while ensuring IT services meet agreed service level agreements.
What you'll do#
- Configure and deploy desktop and laptop devices according to corporate standards.
- Provide support for local production and manufacturing connectivity.
- Manage hardware refreshes and maintain software license versions.
- Resolve technical issues for staff via phone, email, or chat.
- Assist with printer, copier, and audio-visual equipment setup.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure effective service delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong focus on customer service and delivering results.
- Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff.
- A self-motivated work ethic with a focus on problem-solving.
- Ability to engage with outside vendors and partners as needed.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
- The position operates on a rolling term basis.
