About the role#
The Quality Engineering Intern will work in an automotive manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to quality improvement projects while developing technical, analytical, and project management skills. This role involves exposure to real-world quality systems and cross-functional teamwork within the Quality and Warranty functions.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve support processes for Quality and Warranty teams.
- Create process documentation.
- Lead or assist with statistical or Red X studies.
- Integrate new quality tools, including data entry and review.
- Participate in 8D and other problem-solving activities.
- Attend meetings and visits with customers or suppliers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, or a related field.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts, and data cleaning.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to learn independently and explore new systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience with document control systems or quality management software is preferred.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Lean or Six Sigma tools.
