About the role#
As a Product Management Intern for the Oils & Lubricants team at Mercury Marine, you will support daily business operations while gaining hands-on experience in the marine industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals to conduct market research, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to product collateral. This role requires collaboration across departments, suppliers, and dealers to support the lifecycle of parts and oil products.
What you'll do#
- Analyze the 5Ps of marketing including pricing, product, promotion, positioning, and placement to conduct competitive analysis.
- Perform market assessments to uncover new growth opportunities.
- Maintain and update critical data including cross-reference lists, pricing, and competitive positioning insights.
- Assist in the creation and updating of product images, descriptions, and sales collateral for dealers and retail customers.
- Evaluate industry trends and competitor data to recommend product line enhancements.
- Present findings and recommendations based on your analysis of current product offerings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program focusing on business, product management, marketing, or retail CPG.
- Completion of at least 48 credits with a minimum second semester sophomore status.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and derive actionable insights from market and consumer data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively across the organization.

- Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
- Term: Summer and Fall 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $18.00 - $27.50 per hour.
