About the role#
As a Leasing Community Intern, you serve as a representative for our residents and prospective clients. You will work to reach full occupancy through resident retention, current leasing, and pre-leasing efforts. This role requires collaboration with your team to deliver high quality customer service and support community operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet prospective clients and answer incoming leasing calls.
- Determine client needs and preferences to present apartment homes effectively.
- Use feature and benefit selling techniques to close sales and follow up with prospects.
- Complete lease applications and maintain accurate file documentation.
- Participate in lease file audits and official training programs like Cardinal Way of Leasing and Cardinal U.
- Manage front desk administrative duties and help plan community events.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tour path to ensure a positive first impression.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, including lock-outs and nightly rounds.
- Assist with various community projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least 6 credit hours.
- Completion of at least one year of college with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Current or future leaseholder status at the community, with residency on a designated floor.
- Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and access all interior and exterior parts of the property.
