    About the role#

    As an Engineering Intern, you will work on-site at our Guelph facility to gain practical experience in food and beverage manufacturing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and safety, to understand plant processes and equipment. This role involves managing projects related to efficiency, energy improvements, and reliability, while applying your technical skills to real-world plant challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Gain an understanding of plant processes, equipment, and functional areas through hands-on project work.
    • Communicate effectively with people from diverse educational levels and backgrounds.
    • Learn to interpret and implement government safety and environmental regulations.
    • Manage people, processes, and products to implement solutions for operational issues.
    • Apply your academic knowledge to tasks ranging from system design and upgrades to updating plant drawings.
    • Perform physical activities such as bending, reaching, and lifting, while working in various plant conditions.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automation/Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
    • Ability to complete a 4-month full-time internship starting in May 2027.
    • Initiative and resourcefulness to complete tasks with limited guidance.
    • Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
    • Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.

    • Location: Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (16 weeks).
    • Status: Paid, full-time internship.
