About the role#
The College of Arts & Sciences is looking for a Student Assistant to support the office of Dean MacNeil. This position involves managing daily administrative operations and assisting with departmental communications. You will work on-site in Pittsburgh.
What you'll do#
- Answer phones and greet office visitors.
- Handle filing, copying, and interoffice mail delivery.
- Complete clerical tasks like database management, typing, and preparing mailings.
- Compose social media posts for the College of Arts & Sciences.
- Maintain the office and perform other tasks assigned by the Dean or Office Coordinator.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University, specifically in Communications, Business Administration, or Psychology.
- Basic knowledge of myChatham and MS Office products, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort working independently on various projects.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Hours: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year, not to exceed 980 hours per calendar year.
- Note: Student employees working multiple campus jobs must notify all managers. Positions do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
