About the role#
Chatham University is hiring a Student Groundskeeper for the Shadyside Campus. This is a paid, part-time, on-site position. You will work directly with the Head Groundskeeper and the Assistant Director of Campus Services to maintain the appearance and condition of the university grounds.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily maintenance tasks to keep the campus clean and manicured.
- Help with general groundskeeping duties as assigned based on campus needs.
- Coordinate with other campus managers if you hold multiple student jobs.
- Follow scheduling requirements, including the 20-hour weekly limit during the academic year.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University in good standing.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor groundskeeping work.
- A commitment to team collaboration.
- An understanding of multiculturalism and diversity within a campus setting.
- Interest in fields such as Environmental Engineering, Biology, or Agriculture is beneficial.

- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Hours: Part-time, not to exceed 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Note: Student positions do not automatically roll over between academic years or summer sessions.
