    About the role#

    The Office of Academic and Accessibility Resources (OAAR) is looking for a student assistant to help provide accommodations for students with disabilities. You will work directly with the director, who provides training and assigns specific tasks. This role is limited in nature as it is tied to individual accommodations. Applicants must be pre-approved by the OAAR.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the office in delivering accessibility services.
    • Receive guidance and training from the director.
    • Promote multicultural understanding and intercultural competence across campus.
    • Coordinate with other campus managers if you hold multiple jobs.
    • Monitor your own hours to ensure you stay within the 20-hour weekly limit and the 980-hour annual limit.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a student at Chatham University.
    • Ability to support students with disabilities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Self-discipline and a strong work ethic.
    • Ability to collaborate well within a team.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, part-time position.
    • Student roles do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
