About the role#
Chatham University is hiring a Student Administrative Assistant to support the Dean’s Office at the Eden Hall campus. This is a paid, part-time position open to current students. The role involves daily office operations, event support, and representing the university to visitors.
What you'll do#
- Manage incoming correspondence through the official school email account and distribute campus-wide messages.
- Oversee EHCC campus calendar approvals and add academic or student-led events.
- Handle campus mail and packages, including notifying individuals when items arrive.
- Coordinate events by placing catering orders, submitting IT and facility requests, and drafting flyers.
- Assist with space reservations and ASTRA approvals.
- Give tours to external visitors as an ambassador for the Dean’s Office.
- Create training materials and walkthroughs for future student staff.
- Complete a brief performance review with your supervisor each semester.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current student at Chatham University.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with event coordination is helpful but not required.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or Public Health.
Location & details#
- Location: Eden Hall, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Note: Total hours across all campus jobs cannot exceed 20 per week or 980 per calendar year. Appointments do not automatically renew for subsequent terms.
