About the role#
Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Financial & Accounting Outsourcing Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Chicago, Illinois. You will work directly with our team to support client projects, analyze financial data, and improve accounting processes.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and perform qualitative analysis to present to clients and team members.
- Perform quantitative analysis using tools such as MS Excel.
- Create flowcharts and maps for current and recommended accounting workflows.
- Draft accounting policies and procedures documentation for client businesses.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Support the documentation of client assessments and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- You are a Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with strong organizational and teamwork capabilities.

- Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.
