About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with the Financial & Accounting Outsourcing team at Cherry Bekaert. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting client projects and assisting with core accounting functions. This role is based on-site in Louisville, Kentucky, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research and perform qualitative analysis to present to teams and clients.
- Perform quantitative analysis using tools such as MS Excel.
- Create accounting workflow and process flowcharts and maps.
- Develop accounting policies and procedures documentation for client businesses.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Support client assessments by documenting current processes and providing recommendations for improvement.
What you'll need#
- Junior status pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter within a team environment.
