About the role#
Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Strategic Tax Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role sits within our State and Local Tax team, which helps clients manage sales tax obligations and strategic planning. You will work directly with tax professionals on a variety of client projects.
What you'll do#
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze data.
- Research state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
- Complete tax forms and manage correspondence with State tax agencies.
- Interact with clients through on-site meetings, video calls, and status reports.
- Verify all work for accuracy and completeness.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
- The pay range is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. We do not provide work sponsorship for this position.
