About the role#
As a State & Local Tax Intern, you will work with our tax professionals to help clients manage sales tax obligations and strategic planning. You will assist the team in minimizing tax risks while handling administrative tasks and client communications.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry in Excel and organize client data files.
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze tax data.
- Research state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
- Manage the receipt of correspondence with state tax agencies.
- Interact with clients through on-site meetings, video calls, and status reports.
- Verify work for completeness and accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
- Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Coral Gables, Florida.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
