About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with the State & Local Tax team for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Houston to help clients manage sales tax obligations and minimize tax risks. This role requires you to be eligible to work in the United States, as the firm does not provide work sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with tax professionals on a variety of client projects.
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze tax data.
- Research state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
- Manage correspondence with state tax agencies.
- Interact with clients through on-site meetings, video calls, and status reports.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, organizing files, and completing forms.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
- Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
