About the role#
As a State & Local Tax Intern, you will support our team in managing sales tax obligations and strategic planning for clients. You will work directly with tax professionals to help clients minimize tax risks and handle administrative requirements. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Atlanta for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Gather, manipulate, and analyze tax data.
- Research state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
- Manage correspondence with state tax agencies.
- Perform data entry in Excel and organize client data files.
- Interact with clients through on-site meetings, video calls, and project status reports.
- Verify work for accuracy and completeness.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel data manipulation.
- Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
