About the role#
Cherry Bekaert is hiring a Strategic Tax Intern for the Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory team. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Coral Gables, Florida, for the Winter 2027 term. Please note that the firm does not provide work sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Work on federal credits and incentives engagements, including R&D tax credit and deduction analyses, cost segregation, and energy credits.
- Interview technical personnel and review documentation to support incentive opportunities.
- Manage and organize client data for analysis.
- Support engagement teams by tracking project status and identifying necessary next steps.
- Lead the assembly of final client deliverables.
- Serve as a point of contact for client personnel with tax and technical backgrounds.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in an accredited accounting program.
- You should be two years from graduation with 150 credit hours.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above is preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- An interest in R&D tax incentives, depreciation, capitalization, and fixed asset review.
