About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in grain origination at our Ruthton, Minnesota location. You will work alongside our full-time Grain Originator to support local producers and gain insight into the agricultural supply chain. This is a paid, full-time position available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with grain procurement and reach out to new accounts.
- Support producers by sharing market trends, grain quotes, and marketing plans.
- Draft and process purchasing contracts with high accuracy.
- Help the team with rail billing and grain sales settlements.
- Coordinate with elevator and office staff to improve grain flow.
- Deliver professional customer service to all patrons.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Background knowledge in agriculture, crops, or grain is helpful.
- Previous internship experience is preferred but not required.
