About the role#
CNH is seeking a Robotics Intern to join our global team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on advanced agricultural-robotics programs, specifically focusing on an Apple Harvester engineering project. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while collaborating with a multidisciplinary and international team of engineers.
What you'll do#
- Support the Apple Harvester engineering project through field testing, robotic-arm manipulation, mechanical design, or software and controls work.
- Assist with field test preparation and execution, including data collection and documenting observations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate robotic-arm performance, such as motion behavior, reachability, and harvesting workflows.
- Contribute to mechanical design tasks, including CAD updates, prototype evaluation, and component documentation.
- Support software or controls tasks under mentorship, such as troubleshooting issues, implementing small features, and refining motion-planning concepts.
- Document test procedures, design decisions, and findings for the engineering team.
- Follow established engineering practices, including safe field operations, version control, code reviews, and issue tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer.
- Compensation: $19.57 - $31.93 per hour.
