About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship at the Center for Adult Services. The role is goal-focused and educationally related. Interns typically work at least 24 hours per week, though this is negotiable based on academic requirements. Supervision is provided according to your graduate school policies and your appointment letter.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and community-based services to clients.
- Conduct point-in-time assessments for behavioral health issues.
- Construct psychosocial assessments and provide recommendations.
- Create, maintain, and access relationships with community resources.
- Conceptualize, construct, and initiate individualized treatment plans.
- Adhere to or modify treatment plans to meet goals.
- Document consumer encounters and capture session content through narrative notes.
- Plan and manage a daily practitioner schedule.
- Recognize when consumer needs exceed your current skill level.
- Manage termination and after-care planning, including writing termination summaries.
- Demonstrate professional ethics and sound judgment regarding consumer and colleague safety.
- Pass the FRBH Structured Clinical Practitioner Interview.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a behavioral health graduate program at an accredited university.
- Completed coursework in behavioral health assessment, diagnostics, professional ethics, and treatment theory.
- Endorsement from an Interview Team.
- A valid driver license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
