About the role#
This is a part-time, temporary internship at the Center for Specialized Children's Services. The role is goal-focused and educationally-related. Interns typically work at least 24 hours per week, though this is negotiable based on your academic requirements. You will receive clinical and administrative supervision as required by your graduate school and your appointment letter.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and community services to clients as permitted by your graduate school policies and FRBH parameters.
- Conduct point-in-time assessments for behavioral health issues and construct global psychosocial assessments with recommendations for intervention.
- Create and initiate individualized treatment plans, modifying them as needed to meet treatment goals.
- Document consumer encounters through clear, narrative reports.
- Manage a typical daily practitioner schedule and identify when consumer needs exceed your current skill set.
- Build and maintain relationships with community resources.
- Plan and implement termination and after-care processes, including the construction of termination summaries.
- Demonstrate professional ethics and sound judgment to protect consumers, colleagues, and the organization.
- Pass the FRBH Structured Clinical Practitioner Interview.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a behavioral health graduate program at an accredited university.
- Completion of all graduate coursework related to behavioral health assessment, diagnostics, ethics, and treatment theory.
- Endorsement from an Interview Team confirming your potential to develop into a competent Clinical Practitioner.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
