About the role#
As a Student Radiology Tech, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while you finish your education. You work under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist to build your clinical skills and support patient care. This position is on-site and runs on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Perform radiologic examinations while following department protocols for radiation safety and infection control.
- Verify patient identification and provide clear instructions to ensure comfort during procedures.
- Position patients and select technical factors to capture high-quality images.
- Label images correctly and use side markers according to standards.
- Document procedures in the system and enter charges as needed.
- Keep the imaging environment clean and organized.
- Seek guidance from clinical instructors and technologists to improve your performance.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Follow all company policies and maintain reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Between 0 and 1 years of clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification, which you must obtain within 30 days of your start date.
- Ability to follow instructions and apply clinical feedback.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
