About the role#
Community Hospital Corporation is hiring a Sleep Tech Extern to join the team in Grand Junction, Colorado. This is a paid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling term. You will work directly with patients in the sleep lab to facilitate testing and data collection.
What you'll do#
- Greet patients as they arrive for their sleep study.
- Prepare patients for testing, which includes setting up all monitoring equipment.
- Monitor patients throughout the night to ensure they remain safe and comfortable.
- Analyze data during the study to identify when treatment is required.
- Determine the appropriate CPAP oxygen settings for patients during the test.
- Assist patients with the disconnection process and their departure from the lab.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment in or plans to attend a vocational or technical sleep school, with the exam scheduled within nine months of your start date.
- Readiness to complete the 960 clinical hours necessary to sit for the RPSGT exam.
- At least one year of prior clinical experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of case management, drug screening protocols, and regulatory reporting.

- You must be available to work on-site.
- This is a PRN or pool schedule position.
