About the role#
The Aggregate Project Engineer Intern will work within our aggregate mining business to gain experience across multiple lines of operation. You will collaborate with our Project Management team and other departments to support capital projects, improve document control, and assist with operational planning. This role offers exposure to the administrative and technical sides of the business, including reporting to senior leadership and exploring new technology to improve efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to solve common operational issues.
- Assist the Project Management team with monthly projections, project forecasts, schedules, and tracking milestones.
- Support document control improvements and help deploy technology to reduce carbon emissions.
- Shadow operations personnel to learn about aggregate objectives and sales.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership and handle administrative tasks.
- Work on special projects across multiple departments.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Two to four years of related experience or training.
- Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and operating instructions.
- Strong communication skills for writing reports and speaking with employees or customers.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Willingness to travel, work away from home, and work nights or weekends as needed.
Location & details#
- Location: Findlay, Ohio.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- You will regularly work in outdoor conditions, near moving parts, and in environments where protective equipment may be required.
- You must be able to lift or move more than 25 pounds.
