About the role#
Dewberry is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027 in Raleigh, North Carolina. This internship offers hands-on experience in a multi-discipline team environment. You will work on assignments that build your professional knowledge by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to real projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design and production of electrical construction documents for commercial and institutional projects.
- Design building power distribution, lighting systems, and life safety plans for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Participate in workshops and networking events designed for professional development.
- Collaborate with firm leaders on a summer-long group project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Previous internship experience in electrical engineering is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
