    About the role#

    This co-op position supports the research and development of precision inertial guidance instruments for next-generation applications. You will work alongside senior technical staff on various programs. The role spans a six-month term from January through June 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in the full product development process, including design, prototyping, analysis, simulation, and testing.
    • Develop instrumentation electronics, sensors, PCBs, and digital systems.
    • Work with low-noise operational amplifiers, data converters, and analog filtering.
    • Engage with MEMS-based sensors, such as accelerometers and gyroscopes.
    • Design, route, and test printed circuit boards.
    • Implement signal, image, and data processing algorithms using FPGAs, microcontrollers, and ASICs.
    • Communicate your findings through oral presentations and written memos.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited engineering curriculum with a major in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
    • US citizenship status. This role cannot support visa sponsorship.
    • Experience with scripting and modeling in MATLAB, Simulink, or Labview.
    • Familiarity with simulation tools like SPICE, CST, COMSOL, or ANSYS.
    • Hands-on experience in digital or analog electronics design, test, and debug.
    • Knowledge of digital/FPGA design tools or board and chip design tool sets.

    • Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Duration: Full-time for 6 months (Winter 2027 term).
    • Compensation: This is a paid position with a salary range of $20.00 to $45.00 per hour.
