About the role#
Conference Event Services at Duquesne University hires student assistants to help manage campus events. You will provide customer service to students, faculty, and staff while ensuring event spaces run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Greet students, faculty, and staff.
- Monitor event spaces and notify Facilities and Catering of last-minute changes.
- Set up integrated audiovisual equipment and outdoor sound systems.
- Track event coverage using 25Live.
- Review event diagrams to verify correct setup.
- Assist with complex audiovisual needs and inventory equipment.
- Complete assigned clerical tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current eligibility for Work-Study.
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week.
- Effective communication skills when working with staff.
- Availability to attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Enrollment in Communications or Business Administration programs is preferred.

- This position is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- This is an on-site role for the Fall 2026 term.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
