About the role#
East Penn Manufacturing is hiring an IT Cybersecurity Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Lyon Station, Pennsylvania. You will work alongside our security professionals to gain practical experience in threat detection, incident response, and system assessments.
What you'll do#
- Monitor network security and analyze security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation tasks.
- Help maintain and improve the security posture of existing systems.
- Create and update security documentation and policies.
- Research emerging security technologies and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the team to respond to security alerts.
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness training initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Understanding of basic security principles.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with security tools like firewalls, antivirus, and SIEM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week from May through August.
