About the role#
The Biological Sciences Department at East Stroudsburg University is hiring a Student Lab Assistant to support BIOL 330: Microbiology. This is a paid, part-time position working 8 to 10 hours per week. Please note that lab assistants do not serve as the instructor of record and cannot grade course assignments.
What you'll do#
- Attend at least one weekly lab session for BIOL 330.
- Assist the professor with student lab activities.
- Prepare materials for upcoming lab exercises.
- Organize and maintain lab supplies.
What you'll need#
- Completion of BIOL 330: Microbiology with a grade of B or higher.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- English literacy skills.
- Ability to pass a background check including FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse clearance, and an employment check.
- Potential requirement to pass an academic check.

- Location: Science and Technology Center, Room 252, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling basis from September 3, 2026, to May 15, 2027.
