About the role#
East Stroudsburg University is hiring Student Mentors for the CILLS program. This role supports individuals with intellectual disabilities in their daily lives on campus. You will work 10 to 20 hours per week with a schedule that includes weekdays and weekends. Saturday rotation is required.
What you'll do#
- Help students build socialization, academic, and daily living skills.
- Assist with chores, cooking, and studying.
- Support students while they attend campus events.
- Guide students in making healthy decisions.
- Document shift activities and report incidents to CILLS staff.
- Maintain the safety and wellbeing of students during your shift.
What you'll need#
- Ability to support individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Commitment to student safety.
- Ability to document activities and report incidents accurately.
- You must pass a background check including FBI fingerprinting and a PA Child Abuse check.
- This role is open to students in Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Public Health, and Human Resources.

- Location: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
