About the role#
Empirical Foods is hiring an Operations Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Garden City, Kansas. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks working on projects that support our manufacturing operations and gain insight into how our departments function together.
What you'll do#
- Complete daily operational assignments under the direction of our staff.
- Collaborate with different departments to learn about our processes and company structure.
- Take part in improvement activities for our products, equipment, and workflows. This may include research, testing, or troubleshooting downtime.
- Support Quality Assurance by learning about daily inspections and testing procedures.
- Manage assigned projects while balancing multiple tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at once.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to interpret information accurately.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
